Extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) is a rare skin cancer that most often appears around the genitalia, groin and perianal regions in women and men. It can also appear elsewhere in the body. EMPD can look innocuous and is often ignored. However, early diagnosis helps tremendously with the treatment of the disease. If you suspect you might have EMPD, see your doctor. Dr. Rachel Ware Miller, MD is an assistant professor of gynecologic oncology at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, KY. Dr. Miller’s research interests include early detection of ovarian cancer, novel strategies in the treatment of ovarian cancer, chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment, radical pelvic surgery, and robotic surgery for gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Thanh Dellinger, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist with specialized training in robotic-assisted (minimally invasive) surgery for uterine and cervical cancer, which can be as effective as traditional surgery but with reduced scarring, pain and recovery time. Dr. Dellinger is also an expert in advanced cytoreductive surgery for ovarian cancer, which can significantly improve survival outcomes for patients. Additionally, Dr. Dellinger has specialized training in PIPAC, a novel drug delivery method for recurrent ovarian cancer patients.
Dr. Melissa Mauskar, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical practice is focused on complex medical dermatology and vulvar dermatoses. She is the founder and Director of the Gynecologic Dermatology Clinic at UT Southwestern, a tertiary referral center for gynecologists, dermatologists, and primary care physicians serving Texas and surrounding states.
Dr. Michaela Onstad Grinsfelder, MD is assistant professor in the department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine (Division of Surgery) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, TX. Dr. Grinsfelder received a Master of Public Health and her Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of California Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Joseph Ivy is dedicated to providing compassionate, effective care for female cancer patients and their families. He passionately believes that cancer care should focus on providing the best possible quality of life and chance of recovery for his patients. Dr. Ivy uses minimally invasive techniques whenever possible in his surgical practice.
Dr. Janiel Cragun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Arizona. She is fellowship-trained in the specialty of gynecology oncology. Dr. Cragun offers surgical interventions to include both radical and minimally invasive procedures. She also offers chemotherapeutic and palliative interventions.
Tyler Ford, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist in Richmond, VA. Dr. Ford earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. Ford’s specialties include minimally-invasive surgical techniques treating specific gynecologic cancers, as well as clinical research.

Dr. Oliver Dorigo, MD, PHD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Oncology) at the Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. Dr. Dorigo’s clinical focus is the treatment of patients with gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, cervical, endometrial, vaginal and vulva cancer. In his surgical practice, Dr. Dorigo is emphasizing the use of minimal invasive technologies in particular laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Hoffman is a world-renowned expert in the surgical management of gynecologic cancers and other complex gynecologic disorders. He has over 30 years of surgical experience, has published extensively on all aspects of female cancer surgery, and has lectured around the world on these subjects. Dr. Hoffman was voted by physician peers as one of the top gynecologic oncologists (Tampa Magazine, 2017).
Dr. Mario M. Leitao, Jr., MD is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist who specializes in surgery for women with ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulvar, or vaginal cancer. Dr. Leitao, Jr. has a strong interest in providing minimally invasive surgical options for our patients, including both laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures. He joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering staff in 2007.
Dr. Edward Tanner is an Associate Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern University where he serves as Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology service. Dr. Tanner serves as the Director of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery at Prentice Women’s Hospital and is an internationally recognized leader in the field of gynecologic oncology surgery.
The research involvement and interests of Dr. Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez, MD, include screening and early detection modalities in ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer; prognostic molecular markers in ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer; and quality improvement in postoperative outcomes after ovarian cancer staging surgery.
